Jennifer Simon, DVM

Meet your new owner and veterinarian!  Dr. Simon is proudly from Tonganoxie, KS, formerly known as Jennifer Reischman.  Veterinary medicine became an interest while spending summers on her family farm and working at Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic as a student.  She pursued pre-veterinary medicine at Kansas State University after graduating from Tonganoxie High School.  After graduation with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences, Dr. Simon was accepted to veterinary school at Kansas State University.  She graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2011.  Since graduation, Dr. Simon has worked in clinics in the Topeka and Wichita areas.  She joined Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic in May 2019, taking over for Dr. Kyle LaRosh as he retires.  Her husband, two young sons, cat and dog keep her life busy and fulfilling.

Kori Quarles

Kori came to Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic in August of 2007. As our office manager, Kori is likely the first person to greet you as you walk through the door. Kori enjoys working at Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic for many reasons, but she prides herself most on the little things: consoling a client who has lost a best friend; comforting a frightened patient; and making sure all the animals that come in to Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic know just how much they are loved.

In her spare time, Kori enjoys working in her flower garden, and she and her husband Scott enjoy taking their two dogs, Daisy and Lucy, for walks around the neighborhood. What lucky dogs they are!

Jessica Sturgis

Jessica came to Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic in February of 2014. As a veterinary assistant, Jessica helps Dr. Simon with taking care of the animals. Jessica’s love for animals convinced her to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.

When she isn’t here, Jessica is spending time with family and friends, or outdoors with her dog Blue and her cat Casper.

Ashley Stieben

Ashley came to Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic in April 2016.   She enjoys taking care of the animals and learning about all the things that go into caring for animals.

When she isn’t working here, she is attending Johnson County Community College and at home with her dog, Ruby, and two cats, Sassy and Pippin.
