Jennifer (Reischman) Simon, DVM
Meet your new owner and veterinarian! Dr. Simon is proudly from Tonganoxie, KS. Veterinary medicine became an interest while spending summers on her family farm and working at Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic as a student. She pursued pre-veterinary medicine at Kansas State University after graduating from Tonganoxie High School. After graduation with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences, she was accepted to veterinary school at Kansas State University. She graduated with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2011. Since graduation, Dr. Simon has worked in clinics in the Topeka and Wichita areas. She joined Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic in May 2019, taking over for Dr. Kyle LaRosh as he retires. Her husband, two young sons, a cat, and a dog keep her life busy and fulfilling. She is thrilled to be back home!
Kori came to Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic in August of 2007. As our office manager,
Kori is likely the first person to greet you as you walk through the door. Kori enjoys working at Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic for many reasons, but she prides herself most on the little things: consoling a client who has lost a best friend; comforting a frightened patient, and making sure all the animals that come into Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic know just how much they are loved.
In her spare time, Kori enjoys working in her flower garden, and she and her husband Scott enjoy taking their two dogs, Daisy and Lucy, for walks around the neighborhood. What lucky dogs they are!
Jessica came to Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic in February of 2014. As a veterinary technician, Jessica helps with important medical tasks in the clinic. She is known around the clinic as the dog whisperer when it comes to aggressive dogs!
Jessica’s love for animals convinced her to become a Registered Veterinary Technician.
When she isn’t here, Jessica is spending time with family and friends, or outdoors with her dog Blue and her cat Casper.
Ashley is our veterinary assistant. She came to Pleasant Valley Veterinary Clinic in April 2016. She enjoys working with all the animals and learning about the processes that go into caring for them. The veterinary field has always been her passion, so she is happy to care for each and every patient.
When she isn’t working here, she is doing homework for her college classes, reading, or at home with her two dogs, Ruby and Duke, and two cats, Sassy and Pippin.
Amber came to Pleasant Valley Vet Clinic in May 2020 as a veterinary receptionist and assistant. She enjoys working with all the animals that come into the office and being able to communicate with her clients about the care of their animals.
In her spare time, Amber enjoys gardening, spending time with friends and family, motorcycle rides, and her two dogs, Carlie Sue and Lars.
